Starbucks Philippines released Starbucks Iloilo Icon mug featuring Dinagyang Festival. Dinagyang is celebrated every 4th Sunday of January right after the Sinulog Festival in Cebu and Ati-atihan Festival in Kalibo. Dinagyang Festival as well as Sinulog and Ati-atihan Festivals are celebrated in honor of the Child Jesus or Sto Nino. The festivity includes local tribes painted in black dancing to drum beat. Dinagyang Festival is one of the most attended and most famous festivals in the Philippines.
The other side of the Starbucks Iloilo icon mug features the historical Eusebio R. Villanueva Building or the old International Hotel along JM Basa and Aldeguer streets.
ABOUT ILOILO
Iloilo City is one of the Philippines’ most progressive cities. It holds the distinction as the “Most Noble City” given by Queen Regent of Spain in the late 1700s. Iloilo is also famous for La Paz batchoy.
