Starbucks Vietnam Icon Mug


Vietnam Starbucks released its first ever Vietnam Icon Mug featuring a woman in a traditional dress locally called “Ao Dai.”

Ao Dai is a tight-fitting silk tunic worn over a silk pants. 

The dress was originally an outfit worn at the Court of Lords in the 18th century but has evolved into a fashionable national dress it is today.   Also seen in the icon mug is a motor bike.  Vietnam has swarms of motor bikes.  It is said that every family in Vietnam owns at least 2 motor bikes.

Halong Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage site and it is famous among tourists because of its magnificent limestone karsts  and islets in various shapes and sizes.  It is said that the karsts in Halong Bay were formed some 20 million years ago.

Mug # 20 | Vietnam Starbucks Icon MugStarbucks Vietnam recently opened in 2013.  It has only two (2) stores and both are in Saigon.  Starbucks Vietnam Icon mug as well as all other Starbucks Vietnam collectible items are made in China.


Vietnam is a beautiful country in South East Asia.  Its capital is Hanoi.


Only Vietnam Icon is available.  There are only 2 Starbucks stores in Vietnam and both are located in Ho Chi Minh City. It is expected that Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi Icons will be released soon.
